The PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course will improve your buoyancy skills and elevates them to the next level.
Academic
During two scuba dives, you’ll learn how to:
- Determine the exact weight you need, so you’re not too light or too heavy.
- Trim your weight system and scuba gear so you’re perfectly balanced in the water.
- Streamline to save energy, use air more efficiently and move more smoothly through the water.
- Hover effortlessly in any position – vertical or horizontal.
Prerequisites & Requirements
- Age Requirement
- 10 years or older
- PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver (or qualifying entry-level certification)
Equipment
In the ideal situation, its best to use your personal scuba gear and personal dive gear including a weight system, so that you can fine-tune your buoyancy in the gear that you will use everytime you dive. Our instructors and Prostaff can help you find the equipment that is best for you and your diving adventures.
You are responsible for providing your own personal dive gear, Mask, fins, snorkel, & boots. Unfortunately snorkel gear will not work for this course. Check out the shop and find what works the best for you!

- Scuba Gear rental: a one time fee for the entire course (BCD, Reg w/Computer, Tanks, Weights, Wetsuit)
- You are responsible for providing your own scuba quality personal gear. Mask, fins, snorkel, boots & clips. Snorkel gear will not work for this course. We also offer Student discounts on these items.
