Training Assistant $300.
Do you want to sign-up for a Divemaster program but don't have the pre-requisite (40-50) dive hours to start your journey? Start diving and experiencing what it's like to be a leader while developing practical experience that all outstanding professional divers possess! This course is to qualify the diver in the skills and knowledge necessary to perform as a Training Assistant during diver training sessions. The key objective is to train divers to assist others during training activities overseen by an active-status Open Water Scuba Instructor.
This course is an excellent progression and pre-requisite toward Leadership roles such as Divemaster and Open Water Instructor!

At a minimum, Training Assistants will be able to perform and understand:
- Rescue skills (in-water rescue breathing, emergency oxygen administration and diver first aid)
- Assisting divers with: Muscle cramps; Anxiety; Breathing difficulties
- Recognizing signs of pre-panic
- Assisting/escorting tired divers
- Emergency management
- Navigation, Search techniques
PREREQUISITES:
- Age. Minimum is 18 years by the water phase of the course.
- Certification as an Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver.
- Certification as a Rescue Scuba Diver.
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
- Current Diver Medical is required.
