The Advanced Open Water certification serves as an important learning experience and is sometimes a requirement at many destinations and dive sites throughout the world! Show professional dive operations, boat captains, scuba guides, and, most importantly, your dive buddies that you are serious about constantly improving your dive skills and are capable of handling the challenges that lie beyond basic shallow, open water dives. The Advanced Open Water Diver course increases your foundational knowledge of scuba diving and teaches you how to be an even more confident diver. Try out different specialty dives while gaining experience under the supervision of your Instructor. Beyond using professional scuba equipment, you’ll need a dive tool and a slate. Your Instructor may suggest additional specialized gear, such as dive lights for Low-Vis/Night dives, or DSMB’s (delayed surface marker buoy). You are responsible for providing your own personal gear (mask fins, snorkel & booties).
