Learning to dive is much easier than you think. During your Open Water Course, you’ll learn important diving principles, necessary skills to dive safely, and apply these skills in an open water environment. The following information will explain our two-step process in more detail.

Step 1 – eLearning/Pool Dives Sessions:

Once you’ve enrolled in your course, you’ll be issued the digital eLearning to begin reading the online material, completing the end-of-chapter section review questions, and the online final exam before your first in-classroom session. Digital eLearning completion varies by individual and normally takes between 3 and 5 days.

What’s included:

• Access to e-learning to complete your coursework.   
• 2 fun, educational confined water/pool sessions in a heated, indoor pool with our certified instructors.
• All scuba equipment including air tanks, BCD's, weights, wetsuits, and regulators. No one-time rental fees for Open Water students - $65 savings! 

DAN Student Dive Insurance Program Benefits

• Up to US$25,000 coverage for medical expenses for injuries occurring during entry-level scuba training. Coverage is valid until completion of the last certifying dive or up to 180 days after enrollment, whichever comes first.

Not Included:

• You are responsible for providing your own personal mask, fins, snorkel, and boots.   

Step 2 – Open Water Dives - This is a separate course with an additional $250 fee.
 

This is where you’ll apply various skills learned in the swimming pool, in an open water environment. Becoming an Open Water Diver requires that you complete four open water dives over two separate days. 

You have 2 options for your 4 Open Water dives. 
Option 1: Complete your 4 Open Water certification dives with 3rd Reef Divers
Option 2: Utilize 3rd Reefs referral program and complete your 4 Open Water Dives at the desitnation of your choice! Contact us to learn more.
