Glenn Morgon

Glenn began his scuba diving journey in 1999 while living in California. Even after moving to Las Vegas later that year, his passion for the ocean kept calling him back. Many Fridays after work, he would make the drive to Long Beach or Ventura to catch a weekend dive boat to the Channel Islands. When he wasn’t searching for scallops off the California coast, he could be found exploring Lake Mead—back when the batch plant was still beneath 70 feet of water—or braving the chilly Colorado River below Hoover Dam.

After taking time away from diving to focus on career and family, Glenn eventually returned to the underwater world with a renewed appreciation for the sport. His adventures have included swimming alongside schools of hundreds of hammerhead sharks in La Paz, racing through the Ringbolt Rapids on the Colorado River, and encountering curious reef sharks and a giant moray eel in St. Croix.

As incredible as those experiences have been, Glenn’s favorite dives are the ones he shares with his daughter. Watching her excitement and wonder beneath the surface—especially during close encounters with sea lions off Anacapa Island—has made those dives some of his most meaningful memories.

As an instructor, Glenn hopes to share the transformational power of scuba diving with others. He is working toward establishing a nonprofit organization that will help first responders affected by line-of-duty injuries or trauma discover a new way to decompress, reconnect, and heal through diving.

Glenn’s experience, sense of adventure, and desire to serve others make him a valued member of the 3rd Reef Divers team.
