Glenn Morgon

Glenn Morgon

Glenn obtained his original Open Water certification in scuba diving in 1999 while living in California. Despite moving to Las Vegas later that same year, he still spent many Fridays after work driving down to Long Beach and Ventura harbors to catch weekend dive boats heading out to the Channel Islands.  When he wasn’t combing the Channel Islands for scallops, he spent time diving at Lake Mead, back when the batch plant was under 70 feet of water, or down to the chilly water of the Colorado River below Hoover Dam. Following career and family changes he hung up his fins for some time before returning to the world of diving.

His most enjoyable dives include diving with schools of hundreds of hammer head sharks in La Paz, zipping through the Ringbolt Rapids on the Colorado River, and diving with curious reef sharks and a giant moray eel in St Croix. But his favorite dives are those when his daughter is with him where he gets to witness her excitement and wonder of experiencing the underwater world, to include close interactions with sea lions off Anacapa Island.

Glenn is working towards his instructor rating. In doing so he wants to establish a non-profit to help first responders who have experienced line of duty injuries or suffer from the stress of trauma to learn to decompress through the transformational experience of scuba diving.
