Mary’s scuba journey began in 1998 when she earned her Open Water certification. Her passion for diving quickly grew, leading her to become a Divemaster in 2000 and an Open Water Scuba Instructor in 2002.

With more than 1,000 dives, Mary brings an incredible amount of experience to the 3rd Reef Divers team. Most of her diving has taken place in the warm, vibrant waters of Guam and Palau, with additional adventures in Saipan and throughout Mexico, including Cabo, Cozumel, and Playa del Carmen. She has also braved a handful of colder freshwater lake dives in Indiana and Nevada—although warm tropical water remains her favorite!

Mary’s extensive experience, adventurous spirit, and passion for the underwater world make her a knowledgeable and encouraging instructor. She enjoys helping divers strengthen their skills, build confidence, and experience the excitement that has kept her diving for decades.

When she isn’t underwater, Mary stays just as active above the surface. You’ll likely find her running, competing in triathlons, traveling home for another warm-water dive, working to help save the planet, keeping her dog happy and healthy, celebrating with friends—or catching up on some much-needed sleep!
